![]() The official word runs thus: *puts on plummy BBC accent* "Horticultural Group Auricula section primulas are evergreen perennials with leathery, often farinose foliage and simple umbels of salver-shaped flowers which are usually pink, purple or yellow". So, what's an Auricula, then? It's a type of primrose. All this lot started from just one of each colour. ![]() ![]() Here are some of my current spares, in the three colours of gold, pale lilac and deep purple. Of encouragement (errr, I sell the plants, the words of encouragement They are easy to propagate, which means that I can sell off the spares, along with words I have a lot of Auricula myself, in just three colours: none of them are the super-fancy ones, in fact only the yellow/gold ones have any degree of "meal" on the leaves, and even they don't have much: which means that these guys live in my cold, east-facing front yard outdoors, all year round, with no problems at all. They're actually very, very easy to grow, if you start with straightforward, fully hardy ones. How they must be protected from the sun, the rain, the wind, etc etc.Īll of this - the display stands, the hand-made pots, the "ooh, fussy about rain" - can give the impression that they are not something which the average garden owner can do. And here's another, this time a really pretty one, with a decorative scalloped roof, and bars to prevent accidental fall-out.Īs you can see, part of the display style is to have only one plant per pot, and apparently, it is considered de rigueur (pretentious phrase meaning "the correct/stylish thing to do) to use only hand-made terracotta pots, not the modern machine-made ones.Īlso, if you do any research on them, you'll find a lot of scary detailĪbout how they have to be kept under cover to avoid spoiling the "meal", ![]() If you like the kind of RTS where you manufacture a huge amount of troops then drag them together in a glorious blob, the first Dawn of War is for you. Depending on the luck of the draw, in the meantime he might suddenly have three different heavy weapons, somehow pulling them out of nowhere like they're in a bag of holding. Then he'll just forget it exists until you draw another plasma gun card. Some of them can be briefly equipped, but most of the time each marine can only shoot a plasma gun when he's drawn the card for it. Plus, every character has a deck of cards and the only way to attack is to play one of the weapon cards you've randomly drawn. The levels are tiny, which makes weapon ranges weird-a boltgun is only able to shoot four squares, and I've done vomits with longer reach than that-and when new enemies spawn they're immediately next to you. Space Wolf looks the part, even zooming in on dramatic attacks just like XCOM does, but it doesn't play the part as well. Games that attempt the same have been a mixed bag. Space Wolf (2017)Ĥ0K + XCOM is such an obvious idea the Steam Workshop is full of mods for XCOM 2 that combine the two. It's entirely charmless, and not worth setting up the virtual machine you'll need to get it running today. The way they bark "SAPHON / search this area for / AN ARCHIVED RECORD" and "I haven't found / AN ARCHIVED RECORD" at each other will make you long for their death, especially when BETH-OR! shouts his name with the same cadence every time he's selected. The marines are chatty, but their dialogue is stitched together from samples. Everything's stuttery and enemies awkwardly pop into rendered CG when they're close enough for a melee animation. The big problem with Vengeance of the Blood Angels is that it came out when 3D graphics and CD audio were new and experimental and rarely any good. Once you do take command, you lead them by pausing to drop commands on the map, which is both less innovative than its 1993 predecessor, which had a realtime/turn-based combo, and less satisfying than having full control over them. It's a first-person shooter where you control a squad, except the first six missions of the campaign don't actually let you. This was the second attempt at adapting the board game Space Hulk, and the worst. Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels (1996) In Talisman: The Horus Heresy someone might find a card that gives them +1 to the Resource stat and consider it an exciting turn. In the original board game players got turned into toads on the regular. It's an even more desperate and serious version of Warhammer 40,000, completely at odds with a chaotic beer-and-pretzels game about chucking dice and laughing at your latest misfortune. This videogame reskins it with The Horus Heresy, a prequel setting 10,000 years in 40K's past that's been the basis for a huge amount of novels, some of which are actually quite good. It was fantasy Snakes & Ladders with PvP. Even if the other players didn't drag you down, the luck of the cards and dice would. It was a race-to-the-centre board game, half of which you spent finding a talisman to let you access the middle of the board, and the other half not letting someone else steal it from you. Games Workshop released the first version of Talisman: The Magical Quest Game in 1983. ![]() At other times they seem more like the COOL ROBOT (opens in new tab) meme with power armor on. You can practically hear the creators striving to outdo each other.Īt their best, videogames have taken the same glee in depicting this baroque world, its cursed inhabitants, and their awful fates. In the miniatures game Necromunda, the underclass at the bottom of the hive city live on a diet of mold, rats, and food made from the recycled dead. In the Eisenhorn novels, an Imperial Inquisitor who is so scarred by torture he loses the ability to smile makes compromise after compromise until he's indistinguishable from those he used to hunt. In the board game Space Hulk, doomed space marines are beamed onto derelict craft in oversized power armor and then hunted by aliens through corridors they can barely turn around in. Though frequently balanced by a tongue-in-cheek sense of the absurd, the various adaptations of Warhammer 40,000 that followed delighted in its grimness. ![]() The software maintains the email folder or sub-folder hierarchy and structure during the backup process.Įxport Emails to Cloud: The tool also export Gmail emails to iCloud, Yahoo, Zoho Mail, Yandex, and many other webmail accounts. The specific problem is: Badly formatted. Just a heads up if you didn't know. This article may require cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. I have had no trouble personally, but I just started this stuff as well. Apparently some have had squib loads that lodged bullets in the barrel. It's usually recommended to start out high and work your way down to subsonic levels rather than work up like normal reload processes. I know you'll be doing the stability tests first so it will be easy to verify that each round made it out the barrel, but if you have ANY rounds that don't sound/feel/look like the others, make sure the bullet did not stop in the barrel. Here is a youtube video of a person shooting subsonic. COL is 2.200 with Sierra 55gr GameKing bullets. On another forum, a few said the 4.0 grs breaks the sound barrier, and a few had good luck with 3.6 gr. I loaded most with 4.0gr of trailboss and I loaded a few with 3.6 gr. Im going to see if the rounds are stable and if so, then I will try them with the suppressor. I will have to go to the range next weekend. I got some TrailBoss powder and I loaded 50 rounds. I fully expected to hand cycle mine when I went into the experiment.Īny serious undertaking on my part would be with full power ammo which is plenty quiet suppressed IMO. This is to be the accepted norm I would think. By reducing the power, you pretty much eliminate the ability of your gun to cycle. Even with 75 grain bullets, just how reliable will the results be in a serious situation? Also, bullets intended to fly at 2500 fps and above may be hard to stabilize at 1050fps etc, causing baffle strikes. You're taking a screaming-fast round and reducing the powder charge to below the speed of your average off-the-shelf bulk 22LR. I'm no "Operator"-just a guy enjoying his hobby playing with guns. It's a lot of fun getting the gun as quiet as possible and could be useful in pest elimination, but that's about it. I'm not saying it's impossible to get an AR15 to cycle with subs, but it would take some extensive mods/experimentation that would render it useless with full power ammo IMO.įor my uses, the subsonic ammo in an AR15 is not much more than a novelty item. The bullet hitting a target at 50 yds is the loudest sound. This gives my AR a sound similar to a Daisy BB gun. The bolt carrier appears to move about 1/2" and then closes back. Since I don't have an adjustable gas block, the action will attempt to cycle just barely. Any keyholing at all and that load does not get any more consideration. Only after several have passed that test do I attach the suppressor. At the muzzle, about 10 or 15 feet and the 3rd at about 20 yds or so. I set up 3 sheets of cardboard at different ranges and shoot all three at once to test stability. Need to test the rounds on cardboard at as close a range as possible (like 6") to insure the bullets are stable when exiting the barrel. I have not done any accuracy testing yet. ![]() This with CCI #41 primers and mixed brass. 4.6 gr broke the sound barrier and I had the telltale crack on about 50% of the rounds. The load I settled on was 4.4gr Trail Boss. I have worked up my first 223 sub load using 55gr FMJ bullets. Try the round with your can off to make sure it's stable before silencing it. I've only reloaded for bolt actions, never for my AR and certainly not subsonic. I know not to believe everything I read, but I just want to make sure. The reason I ask is because I read on the internet that too little powder in the case can cause a pressure spike in the gun and blow it up or the bullet may not stabilize. Can too little of a powder load be harmful for your gun or silencer? Blow up the gun or cause baffle strikes because too slow of speed to stabilize the bullet. The best info I have seen so far is this old thread ĭoes anyone have any new info for load data that will be fairly silent? I found several people asking for reload information on the internet, but no real data. ![]() ![]() I do not care if it does not cycle the action. 223 is not much better than 22 LR but I would like a round that is quite. 223 for my SBR with use of a Ranger 2 can. ![]() That about covers it when it comes to the Persona 4 Golden Teddie Build Guide. However, pneumatic tyres must be changed. With solid rubber and cushion tyres, as well as SE tyres, the truck can usually continue to be used. The most common damage to truck tyres is as a result of collision. The latest developments are also being incorporated into production of these tyre types, for example, in the rubber compounds used and their distribution in the tyre. Forklift tyres are constantly being developed to improve puncture resistance and reduce wear and rolling damages. Solid rubber and SE tyres are considered puncture resistant and are usually only to be checked for wear. Incorrect air pressure can cause damage to the tyre. Depending on the intended use of the trucks, the manufacturer may have special regulations. The exact air pressure is noted on each tyre and must be maintained. Forklift trucks equipped with pneumatic tyres operate at a high air pressure of up to 10 bar. ![]() Pneumatic tyres must be permanently checked for residual tread depth, damage and air pressure. For this reason, they can at least partially ‘cushion’ bumps and shocks. They have a multi-layer structure a tread, and are somewhat harder than pneumatic tyres, but much softer than solid rubber tyres. Since super-elastic tyres are not filled with air, they are puncture resistant, just like solid rubber tyres. For areas where there is a risk of tyre damage, super elastic tyres are usually recommended. They combine many of the characteristics of cushion tyres with similar comfort to air-filled tyres. ![]() Super Elastic tyres (also called pneumatic shaped solid tyres) are solid tyres mounted on rims that are also suitable for pneumatic tyres.Such as less suspension and the resulting higher stress on the vehicle and driver. Solid tyres are available with either a smooth tread or a tread pattern.įoreign bodies are less likely to get stuck in fully treadless tyres, but there are disadvantages to these drum tyres too. Partly thanks to their small drum diameter, the footprint of the 2.5 tonne lift capacity truck is just about the same as that of a 1.8 tonne truck. For example, the compact Hyster® SpaceSaver S2.5FT lift truck is equipped with solid rubber, treadless tyres. They have good puncture resistance as the tyre is entirely made of rubber with no inflation needed and has a high load capacity. Solid rubber tyres (sometimes recognised as cushion tyres) are usually best suited for indoor use on smooth, even surfaces. However, the air pressure should be checked regularly and even very minor damage to the tyre can lead to failure. They also provide good ground contact and are ideal for outdoor use, recognising the tread pattern. On a forklift, these tyres can offer a higher level of operator comfort thanks to their good suspension properties. Pneumatic tyres (for example radial tyres) are the same type usually used on motor vehicles. There are three types of forklift tyres in use today, which all bring their own advantages and disadvantages. To help you get started, here is our quick guide to some of the key things you should know about tyres for Hyster® forklifts. But do you know enough about lift truck tyres to make the right choice? With such an important role to play, it’s important to select the right type of tyre for the needs of a specific application.
